Saturday Hockey

The Hong Kong Islanders Ball Hockey Players meet every Saturday morning at the YMCA in Jordan for a regular game of ball hockey. Between the hours of 9 and 11, the sticks get tossed in classic Canadian fashion and the it becomes White vs. Blue.

Suggested kit is:

- comfy, athletic clothing (shorts, drifit shirts)

- one black and one white shirt (we don't know the teams until the sticks are thrown)

- a hockey stick (99% of the guys play without tape as the ball tends to stick to it)

- athletic shoes appropriate for sprints and quick starts and stops

- a towel as there are showers at the Y to clean up afterwards

- nobody wears a helmet or elbow pads but some guys do wear shin pads.

If you are in need of a hockey stick, they are both sold and rented on site at the Y.

While not mandatory, it is suggested that you have at least a basic knowledge of hockey as for many guys, this is their weekly fix of a competitive sport.

The cost play is $100 per person for the two hours...sorry but not discounts for coming late/leaving early. All new comers are welcome. Other than that, all you need to bring is s a willingness to play tough defense against Elias.
